Rules governing our text messaging services

1. SMS/MMS Consent and Scope
By opting in to the Talbot Health Services ("Talbot") SMS/MMS messaging program, you agree to receive periodic text messages from us. These may include appointment reminders, treatment notifications, recovery wellness tips, service updates, and responses to your questions. Message frequency varies depending on your treatment schedule and interactions with our team.
2. Your Mobile Number
By submitting your mobile number and opting in, you confirm that you are the account holder or authorized user of the device tied to that number. You agree to notify us promptly if your number changes or is reassigned. Update your information by calling 1.833.762.1013 or emailing clinic@talbothealthservices.com.
3. Automated Communications Consent
Opting in to SMS/MMS messages is not a prerequisite for receiving any goods or services from Talbot Health Services.
By enrolling, you acknowledge that messages may be transmitted using an automatic dialing system or similar technology. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Talbot Health Services is not responsible for charges imposed by your mobile provider.
4. How to Opt Out
You may stop receiving text messages at any time using any of these methods:
- Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message from Talbot Health Services
- Call 1.833.762.1013 and request removal
- Email clinic@talbothealthservices.com with your number and an unsubscribe request
After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message. No further texts will be sent unless you re-enroll in the program.

6. Supported Carriers
Our messaging program is compatible with major U.S. carriers including but not limited to:
Carriers bear no liability for delayed or undelivered messages. Availability, coverage area, and delivery timing may differ by carrier and are not guaranteed.
7. Data Collection & Usage
Participation in our SMS program involves the collection of:
- Your phone number and carrier name
- Timestamps and content of messages exchanged
- Opt-in and opt-out records
See our SMS Privacy Policy for full data handling details. We do not sell, share, or transfer your opt-in data or phone number to third parties for promotional purposes.
8. Program Changes & Termination
Talbot Health Services reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue the SMS program at any time without advance notice. We may also end your participation if we detect misuse, fraud, or a violation of these terms.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Talbot Health Services, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from: (a) providing a phone number you do not own or are not authorized to use; (b) failing to update a changed or reassigned number; or (c) violating these terms.
10. Eligibility Requirements
To participate in our text messaging program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian consent)
- Own a mobile device that supports SMS/MMS messaging
- Maintain an active messaging plan with a supported carrier
- Provide valid, informed opt-in consent
11. Message Frequency & Rates
The number of messages you receive depends on your treatment schedule, appointment activity, and interactions with our clinic. During active treatment, you may receive several messages per week.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for specific plan details. Talbot Health Services is not responsible for carrier-imposed fees.
12. General Provisions
If any provision of these SMS Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Talbot Health Services' failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver thereof.
